Wordpress Migrations

Need More Information

It would be great if the cPanel toolset, either through the Wordpress Toolkit or the Transfer tool had the ability to import WordPress installations from remote hosting providers using the remote servers FTP details.

This has been done by Softaculous already, and whilst it’s good it would be great to have this natively built into the tools of cPanel.

What would make this even more awesome, would be if it could be triggered via the API.

Adding this functionality would allow us to drastically increase our number of users by enabling the ability to migrate in accounts from hosting providers not compatible with the transfer tool, including Wordpress only providers who do not have a control panel.

Sounds like a great feature to more natively support. I know Wordpress has a few plugins that support this, is there a particular workflow you would find advantageous? Any information you could provide would be quite helpful.
