Creation of UTF-8 Email accounts

Oana Bota shared this idea 14 months ago
Not Planned

As a cPanel admin and client, I would like to create UTF-8 email accounts to serve clients in regions where native scripts are used (e.g. Arabic, Cyrillic – Bulgarian, Devanagari – Hindi, Greek, Hangul – Korean, Malayalam, Telugu, Thai, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Latin- French>with accent letters) and streamline the user experience.

Right now there are restrictions on the username portion of the email address; it must use ASCII characters. Specifically, the username can only contain letters, numbers, periods, hyphens, and underscores.

Yes. Really need this added to the choice of characters.

Please change to open up for different clients around the world.

Thank you, 애멧 Emmett

Yes.

We always remove our local special characters from text to send correct message.

Message should use UTF-8 to allow any language.
