Add AfterLogic Webmail Lite

I would like to request the addition of AfterLogic Webmail Lite: http://www.afterlogic.org/webmail-lite

Although it has a cPanel installer, it doesn't integrate as well as the official cPanel Webmail clients.

AfterLogic Webmail Lite is almost as popular as RoundCube among our own client base and I believe it would be a great addition for cPanel.

Thank you.

in all likelihood, this would probably replace a current webmail offering...but which one?

I believe that replacing SquirrelMail with AfterLogic Webmail would be a fair decision. No offense to SquirrelMail fans, but it looks very outdated.

AfterLogic Webmail Lite is a must. All of our clients love it and its very user friendly.

I don't know if any of our customers use squirrelmail, most use horde or roundcube and the only reason to use squirrel mail is for it's simplicity, afterlogic light seems to do this quite well :)

This should replace @Mail Open which was previously offered as an optional plug-in; in my opinion there is still room for a fourth option if we re-evaluate the current, excessively large clickable areas for each Webmail client that can be reduced in size to make sufficient space without over-crowding.

SquirrelMail should be kept for its superior reliability during troubleshooting; it is simple and straight-forward enough that you can expect it to work when Horde and Roundcube do not. Both Horde and Roundcube rely on MySQL in a stock installation; this is a significant downside in addition to their increased complexity. SquirrelMail is an essential tool that should not be removed.

I can agree with you Don on that. If anything it would be great to see it added into the options, afterall, in WHM the administrator can choose which to display to the clients.

I used to want this, because Afterlogic was the nicest looking of any of them, but with the Roundcube redesign -- was it last year? -- it's much better and we just disabled Squirrel and Horde. Less to support and deal with, and haven't had any complaints.

I am not a fan of SquirrelMail but i would love to try Afterlogic since it has a huge developer community.

Afterlogic really look cool and I would use this - we have never liked SquirrelMail and have not given it to our users. Taking a quick look at Afterlogic looks like exactly what we need for those needing basic hosted webmail.

Yes please add AfterLogic webmail as the SquirrelMail is being removed from cPanel.

Afterlogic forever. Also, they have a private cloud service. And a custom development team.

I don't know why this request is really important.

The current maintainer of this webmail already installs it as a plugin for cPanel. Just download and run the script:

https://afterlogic.com/docs/webmail-lite/installation/install-on-cpanel

The other thing is that this webmail is more than beyond simplest, it's incomplete! You can't do even the simplest things like change messages order or remove the preview div. The only one reason that someone can use it, is for design like fashion reason.

It is extremely important. I installed it and as soon as you run the cPanel update the sync got disturbed. I contacted the afterlogic support and this is what they have to say:

Authentication with cPanel accounts might indeed be an issue at times, as cPanel itself keeps changing authentication methods every now and then. We're doing our best to ensure the compatibility, and after the nearest release, we plan to perform a number of tests to make sure it works smoothly in all the cases. Even though WebMail Lite is a free product, we're highly interested to make it trouble-free for users.

Customers like it because it works great on small screens in smartphone.
