Install/Reset SSL certs for the server's own services using an API or command line call

As per the discussion on the forum at http://forums.cpanel.net/f145/programmatic-install-ssls-target-servers-services-191302.html

"Looking for a programmatic way (ie, API call) that will allow the installation of SSL certs for the server's own services. This differs from the current XML-API SSL functions which are really tailored more for account domains."

If this was also configurable somehow from within WHM to just set it to "auto" and be able to forget about it forever that would be fantastic, but failing that, if it could be done from the shell with a couple of quick commands (that I could then script or automate myself) then that works for me too :)

This is coming, likely in cPanel & WHM release 11.40.

The following API functions will be provided:

  • fetch_service_ssl_components
  • install_service_ssl_certificate
  • reset_service_ssl_certificate
  • fetch_ssl_vhosts
  • fetch_vhost_ssl_components
